Thruhard Supreme® TripleHard (HHH) is quenched and tempered to 355–400 HB ( approx. 1200–1350 MPa)
Compression and injection moulds to accommodate large dimensions such as bumpers, dashboards, chairs, rubbish bins, bottle crates, television cabinets, etc. Its higher hardness compared to Thruhard Supreme® TripleHard (HHH) is achieved by its optimized chemical composition
Thruhard Supreme® TripleHard (HHH) offers a number of advantages over base materials such as 1.2738:
- significantly higher basic hardness and greatly improved through-hardening capability
- improved structural homogeneity through the reduction of block segregation
- polishing security even with increased requirements up to grain size 1,200
- grain security even with sensitive grain designs
- improved thermal conductivity, tempering resistance and weldability
- nitridable, flame & laser hardenable, hard chrome plating
- high basic hardness in the delivery state offers sufficient support for a PVD coating
